People take cruises for various reasons. Maybe it’s a wedding cruise, a family reunion, time to recharge, explore the world, or you’re just interested in the experience. You will come across people who said I went on a cruise and it was the most horrible experience of my life! Why? I suspect they did not know what they were doing and just picked the wrong cruise. No two cruises are the same. From the destinations, ship style, class, cabin choices, and added experiences, it can be overwhelming. This is where I step in.
When planning my own cruise or someone else’s, I tend to approach it in two ways. And if I am lucky, both ways come together as one. I tend to start my search with one of two things in my head. Am I going on this cruise for the ship or the destinations? You would think the destinations would always win, but you can do half a dozen cruises in an area and quickly notice you have been everywhere. With some of the new ships, there is so much to see and do that you would use the destinations as a welcome break from the ship’s busy schedule.
I am about to put together some videos and posts about my recent Mediterranean Cruise. This was my first time in this area, so I did not care which company I used or which ship I was on. I wanted to see as many places on my bucket list as possible in one trip. After all, getting from Colorado to the Mediterranean is no small feat, so I want the biggest bang for my buck.
My wife and I jotted down all the places we wanted to visit. Ultimately, we had Portugal, Spain, France, and Italy on the list. I found dozens that went to some, but only one that went to all. That is the cruise I booked for us, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. I will be posting and making videos about each stop of our 16-day Wedding Anniversary trip.
